December Buying Advice
A new home for the holidays?
Posted: December 08, 2010 at 12:53 PM by Ryan OlsonIn MSN's inaugural Buying Advice column, they offer a few reasons why shopping for a home during the holidays holds some advantages:
- Sellers who keep their homes on the market at this time are very motivated.
- You have less competition from other buyers than you would in the spring.
- Lenders, agents and others have more time to work with you.
- Interest rates are typically lower than in the spring.
Despite what most people think, homes are still bought and sold during the holidays and winter months. December has typically been one of our company's best months for sales. And speaking from personal experience, my wife & I accepted an offer to purchase on our last home on, of all days, ....Christmas Eve!
The
